One Owner 2002 Mazda Protege ES 5spd $1500!
•Name: Sean
•Location: Chesapeake, VA
•Means on contact: PM, or call/txt (757)839-3632
•Trades: I'm open
•Price: $1500 OBO
•Description: Car is a 5 speed manual. Has CD player, power windows, locks and a sunroof, 16" alloy wheels and a spoiler. The ES is essentially the sport model of the protege.
So here is the deal. This Protege has been owned new since 2002. It was purchased brand new from a Mazda dealership and all maintenance was done on time. Tires are relatively new, gas mileage is in the 28-29 mpg range. I drove strictly to and from work (18 mile commute) for 3 weeks straight without having to fill up. The car is well maintained and the interior is near perfect. Now for the obvious it was in a small accident. No frame damage and I was quoted around $1800 to have it looking brand new again, however if you're good with doing your own work you can source all parts for around $550 and paint was quoted around $300 ( I just don't have the time or desire right now.) To avoid the same question over and over, "What does it need to be perfect again?" It needs a hood, grille, headlights, rad support, and a hood. Nothing major and the fenders were left untouched (impact was at low MPH.) You can fix it and have a cheap DD or leave it as is (maybe paint the hood to make it look better) And have an extremely cheap DD. If you're shopping in this price range you won't find a more mechanically sound car and to me that is more important than aesthetics.
•Details:
•Mileage: 149,xxx
•Exterior Condition: Good overall condition other than the front end.
•Interior Condition: It's pretty immaculate.
•CARFAX: Carfax is clean, the accident was not reported.
•Modifications: None
•Service: All services performed on time.
