Default 350z guys get in here please!

My buddies 2006 350z has been over heating and after an initial diagnosis from the dealership that it was fine, it continued to do so. They eventually said that it was the fans so he bought a new one and i will be installing it for him this weekend.

Anybody had this problem before, or had to replace the fan? The dealership was shady as fuck the whole time and even fucked up his splash guards, then told him he needed a new bumper to replace them even though they fucked it up!

Thanks in advance.

it could be a number of things... The Zs are huge with 2 problems

1) Over heating
2) Oil consumption

The 2nd can cause the first...More often in not its an oil issue. How often does he change his oil. I change mine roughly every 2000 miles. Are his hoses decent because the stock hoses are the thinnest ply ive ever seen. The thermostat is also a bitch...

Most recommendation(s) would be

1)Drain you coolant and check your hoses..alot of the times the the rear cylinders are affected by Nissans lack of attention; theres a mod using pathfinder http://z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?model...ne&prodid=4531 might be cheaper to find all this stuff at pick-n-pull

2) change your oil and invest in a catch can...

If all else fails/your not confident enough to work on the car visit the guru of 350zs in the area

He'll do right by you and can usually have the car back same day or over the weekend. He had my 4.08 rear end gears back in one day. Tell him Phil sent you.

Hope that helps

2006 is actually one one year KNOWN for oil consumption problems. He should check every two days or so.
