b16a Ignition timing off Cam and crank timing dead on RUNS LIKE CRAP!
I have a 93 eg 4 door with a jdm b16 i just aquired and the thing is straight tird!
Changed the wack cable trans they had ghetto converted to hydro and did some tidying up in the engine bay full tune up and a new belt
TIMED IT $ TIMES IT WAS DEAD ON BUT THE DIZZY STILL HAD TO BE TURNED ALL THE WAY BACK TO FIRE WALL TO RUN...!!!???
Just wanted to post this to possibly help another person in my spot.
So after hours of head ache i finally decided to pull the cams.
The pin that holds the cam gear in spot was backwards and forced in. When doing this the person who ever had been inside used an impact i beleived and it spread the groove open in the cam so it had from 2 to 4 teeth play in it and the moon key was about sheeped off.
So if your timing is on and ignition timing is off. Check the cam gears people.
I changed the cams and the car is Running like a scolded dog now..
