Default basic electrical plug question

one of the pins going into my turn signal plug seems to be loose. a couple of months ago one of my turn signals stopped working. figured out one of the wires going in wasn't connecting right inside. i pushed the wire into the plug firmly, used a small flat tip screwdriver to push the rubber seal around the wire back into the plug tightly, and it worked fine again. now it's acting up again, how do you fix something like this generally? do you need to just get a new plug, new rubber seal, etc?

you could buy another connector and re wire it. You should cut the wires as close as possible to the pigtail, buy a new connector break out your soldering gun to secure the wires to their respective pins and then push them into your new connector. Search you tube for wiring pigtail repair

use one of these, "soldering gun" and make a good connection. lots of youtube vids on how to use one if you've never done it before.

Pull the loose pin out and check that the retaining barb/barbss is sticking out past the body. Like a fishing hook. If it is flush, it will work loose again. You can use a small flat head screwdriver to gently bend it out if you have to. See photo 1.
