BMW 4 cylinder m42 engine. Fits 3 series from 1990+ I believe, as well as early model e36's. Good swap candidate for bmw 2002, e21, early model e30s, or replacement for late model e30s and early model e36's. 170,000 miles. Recent headgasket, headbolts, intake gaskets, upper timing cover gaskets, etc. Comes with intake and exhaust manifolds, throttle body, alternator, power steering pump, ac compressor, dme. Harness is a bit cut up, needed a few things for s50 swap. Ran great when pulled from car (yesterday). Just looking to get rid of it, $100. 5 speed transmission also available for an additional $100.

what trans is it? im assuming its a getrag 260

 

I mean it ran great and compression test results were great, so it shouldn't have any trouble

I believe m42 trans is getrag 240, getrag 260 is the m20 trans

 

I'm interested in the motor... my truck is up in mass tho....

 

Where in vb are you? May be willing to deliver for a small fee. If so, do you have a hoist or a way to get it off the truck when we get there?
