Default Dark smoke

I have a 95 b20b4 w/vtec swap Integra. When my vtec kicks in, a dark cloud of smoke comes out of my exhaust. It only happenes the moment the vtec kicks in, then it goes away. I don't know if my car has been tuned.

What am I burning? and will a tune fix this??

What color smoke is it? Just dark grey/blackish, or what? Could be a couple different things...explain more.

Sounds like you're temporarily running rich when VTEC engages. You probably just need a tune.

Thats what Im thinkin too. I'll try a street tune here soon. I would do a dyno tune, but cant find anyone to do it for less than $400 so far. Im thinkin a street tune will be alot cheaper.
