I have a 1992 honda civic hatch that haas a d15 in it.. I have some idoling problems. When i start my car it automaticall revs up to 3800-4000 rpm's. When it warms up it bounces from 900-1200 to bout 3000 rpms. I really need to get this fixed i was told it was my map sensor, because when i took the hose that goes from the sensor to the manifold the idling is steady at 122 but isnt a good idle sound sounds like its struggling for fuel. IF anyone might have a answer to my problem please reply back ASAP!!!

 

i got the same prob in my car but i dont think its ur map sensor. take off ur intake and inside the throttle body there should be a lil hole while ur car is runnin stick ur finger over that lil hole if it dies back down to stock idol then its ur lil thingy on the back of ur intake manifold. cant really tell u what the thingy is cuase i can remember i jus know what it look like. if its not that then spray some like carb cleaner right where ur injectors are. if it gets sucked in then ur car will act a lil funny real quick then be fine. but if that happens find out which injector it was and replaces its lil o ring seal thing. if those 2 things are fine then beat it with a honda tool til it works right.

 

i had the same problem with my civic and it ended up being a bad aic valve

you have a bad throttle position sensor. i can fix no matter what is wrong with your car. i have all of the parts!

i thought it was your tps austin . but if it aint if i was you id try spraying carb and choke in you intake manifold just in case it that other thing i showed you that one night i dont know what its called.
