weird like whining noise on my 95 gsr plz help
hey my car just recently started making a weird grinding/ like whining noise.. almost like a power steering pump but i dont think it is and its a hit and miss but its most def noticible when it does it and only at idle.. which is 1500 on the car due to bad primary oxy sensor heater... if anyone could help thatd be great thx

Did you check for power steering fluid.....? Maybe the reservoir is dry and it's yelling at you.........? Did you pop the hood and look at stuff under there?

sounds like power steering pump...could be 1 of ur timing belt cover bolts backed out and is now riding on the timing belt...could be a couple things!!!

Could be a timing belt idler or tensioner bearing going bad. Could be one of the accessories going bad. Could be a few different things.
You should really fix the O2 sensor, that's a pretty important thing.

Does it make the noise when you turn the wheel full lock to each side? If so, PS pump.
Id also check the alternator/pully..

Get a mechanic to look at it... so many different spinning/belt-driven things under that hood, no way to tell you what it is based on a forum post.
If you've never had your timing belt, etc replaced, could be the water pump/tensioner/roller...

Did you recently buy the car? Maybe it's supercharged and you didnt know it? But them again i am drunk right now and feel kinda silly so who knows it could even be just you.
