What a dumb question Im about to ask ya'll
Ok I have a OEM em1 cd player in my car. everything is wired up correct had it in my eg a while. But when I am listening to a cd with the volume turned all the way up (b/c you know it dont go but so loud) it will just go mute. The cd player will be working. you can see the volume bars working when im turning the volume dial. I can switch it over to radio, shit i can go threw any option you just cant hear anything. And the only way to get it back is to turn car Completely off. Ever heard of this dumb crap. And it only seems to do it when I have the volume all the way up. - Thanks

The speaker amplifier is probably going into protection mode and shutting off because its getting too hot. Often a protection mode like that will latch and will only reset if the power is cycled.
The easy solution is to not listen with the volume all the way up.

yep, that or your speaker wires are grounding out. Different radio's react to that in different ways. So it's a bad radio.....or bad install job.

If the output amp is going into thermal protection, everything could be working perfectly fine with the radio and the install. It's more of a problem of producing more heat than the radio can reject. So the answer there is to not make as much heat by not turning the volume up as high. It's hard to believe that could be an issue, but it sometimes is.

you're working the cd player too hard, turn it off and turn it back on.... also, get your ears checked and play your oem radio at a reasonable volume.
