The parking cops in downtown roanoke is just INSANE!!! i don't think it's right. shouldn't our tax money go towards somthing else other than that? grrrrr.

as you can prob tell, yes, i got a parking ticket.

 

What adds insult to injury is the fact that their not even cops. All street cops were removed for the most part from down town Roanoke. The ones handing out the tickets are just renta cops.

Yeah, I work downtown and luckily my company pays for a parking pass for us in one of the garages. But when I first started here, I didn't get that parking pass for 5 days. So everyday when I'd park on the street I'd have a new parking ticket. To top it all off, you only have like 3 weeks to pay it or they double the amount! I also hate the Allrite parking assholes! I parked in that parking lot beside Saltori's (NRG whatever) one Friday night for an hour and forgot to put the money in, when I came out to my car I had a ticket for 14 DOLLARS!! I refuse to pay it. That was probably about 4 months ago and I still haven't paid it. It's frickin ridiculous! I'm gonna open a parking lot downtown just so I can steal people's money like they do. Fuckin theives!

 

Just curious, where are good places to park @ on the weekend nights? My friend wants to go dt in Roanoke this weekend and I'll prolly drive him.

 

on weekends I think you can park for free in th tower.

As for allrite parking I hate them. They are the nothing but a monopoly. The city of Roanoke basically bows down to them an makes it so no one else can open a lot with out it being run by allright. I think if you look up the word monopoly in the dictionary allright parking is a alternative word for it.

 

On the weekends, the parking garages are free but usually pretty packed. I usually park in the one across from Beamers on Church. It's a block or two from the bars but at least I know no one will mess with my car!

Yes, weekends and nights are free in the curly fry across from tt's. emilee25 sorry to hear about the ticket at allrite. I used to always park in those and just go up and pretend to drop in money... never gotten a ticket for it.
