96 GTI 2.0 - Black, lowered - perfect DD - Chesapeake - 2200$

Up for sale or trade is a mk3 GTI - Ive had the car for almost a month now and have been daily driving it pretty much the entire time, it honestly runs great - one of the smoothest ABAs I have ever driven, the engine was rebuilt at some point in time and though I do not have any documentation there is absolutely no way this aba has 200+ miles on it, as said before it runs far too well. The body is in good condition for the high mileage, minimal dents/dings or scratches, and only small amounts of rust, though it is missing some moldings. The left strut tower has a small amount of surface rust, passenger side is spotless, 2 spots on the hatch, slight surface rust in the spare well, the worst of it is in the gas in door, everything is pictured in the album linked below.
Reason for sale/trade is simply put Im just not into the mk3 golf and there is a mk3 GLX for sale locally that I want to grab up, or if there is an interested party Id trade this car for a GLX or some other nice jetta.
Car is located in Chesapeake, Va - though I am willing to travel for the right car.
Quick Details:
- 1996 GTI - 2liter ABA 5 spd - 252xxx miles on body, unknown mileage on rebuilt motor.
- Lowered on new rokkor coilovers
- recent coolant flange/coolant flush
- new front wheel bearings (this weekend 11/28)
- rebuilt steering rack/boots
- All electronics work (sunroof/doorlocks)
- Slight rust
Needs
-Inspection (will pass and Ill prolly stop being cheap/lazy and get this done)
-few side moldings.
-A Bath, a clay barring and a buffing.
Price/Trade Value: 2200$ - or trade for nice DD worthy mk3 Jetta or mk2 gti/gli, in the 2500$ range, a GLX would be awesome.
would REALLY like to sell - Ive found the GLX I want - just need this gone first
