Default 1989 Jetta GLI 1.8t

Name: Chris
Location: Poquoson, VA
Means on contact: PM or this thread
Trades: For Sale or Trade
Price: $7,000 OBO

Thinking about selling my Jetta. Looking to get into something a little bigger if you want to trade. Must have 4 doors.

1989 Jetta GLI 1.8t 20v
Over 350 WHP Reliable Daily Transportation
A/C Blows COLD! Not many 20v swaps can advertise that!!!
230k miles on body, engine swapped in at 190k and has been running strong ever since
Never had any mechanical issues and have put about 40k miles on the car since the swap

2003 AWP 1.8t 20v Turbo Engine
All VW from the valve cover to the oil pan. Motor was pull from a perfectly good running car with 40K miles on it.
At that time the timing belt, tensioner and water pump were all changed.

Transmission was also pulled from a 2003 GTI at 40k miles and a brand new Peloquin LSD was added along with 100mm axle flanges.
Mk4 GTI shifter and cable actuated cluch

SDS engine management tuned to over 350whp Cant, rememeber exact numbers. It was I think 4 or 5 years ago.
The Turbo is a Garret dual ball bearing 57 trim T3/T04E
ATP exhaust manifold
2.5 inch down pipe
2.5 inch exhaust through a stainless Borla muffler
Tial wastegate
HKS SSQ blow off valve
BIG Spearco intercooler 3.5 x 24 x 6
Custom made intake manifold with VR6 throttle body
All 2.5 inch intake plumbing
Greddy Profec B electronic boost controller
WMS wide band O2 display
5 lug swap with RPI 13.1 inch Wilwood front brakes
And Mk4 GTI rear brakes
Added the biggest stock brake master cylinder available 25mm from an Audi 90
Brakes feel and work great
Competition Clutch 1420 series 4 puck with
Fidanza aluminum flywheel
Completely redone fuel delivery system with
Walbro 255 fuel pump, 1 gallon surge tank, -8 fuel lines,
Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator, ATP fuel rail and 72lb Siemens injectors
16x8 BBS RS Wheels with staggered offsets 1.5 inch lips up front and 2 inch in rear
Koni adjustable shocks with Ground Control coilovers, 450lb Eibach spring front and 325 I believe in the rear
Poly control arm bushings
Smoked euro lights and badgeless grill
Smoke euro Hella tail lights

Other than the all the things that make it go and stop it is a completely stock 1989 Jetta GLI. Everything works on the car except the cruise control.
Power windows, power door looks, power heated mirrors, sunroof, recaro seats, boost gauge, oil pressure gauge, egt gauge, alarm, MFA

Cold A/C and Hot Heat

Body is mostly straight but doesn’t have much paint left on the top surfaces
