Q: Is the CCE engine like a rotary engine?
A: The CCE engine is a reciprocating piston engine, very similar to a conventional engine in the top end. We have replaced the most inefficient part of conventional engine with our twin trilobate design. It has no similarities with a rotary engine
Q: How much power can you get from a CCE engine?
A: As the same with a convention engine, the CCE can range in number of cylinders, capacity, top end configurations. Using the same top end and swept volume as a compared conventional engine, the CCE is anywhere from 10-50% more efficient.
Q: How many cylinders can a CCE engine have?
A: A CCE engine can have from one to as many as eight cylinders. Each cylinder can fire 3 to 9+ times per rev. Three times is typically used in automotive. A four cylinder, four-stroke, trilobate cam produces six power strokes per rev. (12 cylinder four stroke equiv)
