I just bought the car from this website yesterday and the car was perfect the whole drive from Richmond to chesapeake. This morning I started the car and the check engine light was on and the muffler sounded rough. I took it to adanced auto parts and they said that it is "MISFIRING" and that it's only using a certain amount of power. He didn't give me a code or even a solution. Any suggestions ?

Why didnt you get the code? That woulve told you exactly what is wrong with the car.
The car is not using all the cylinders.

Start with checking plugs.
Compression test would help too.

And get the damn code.

 

I know I tried to the guy was such an idiot and claimed he was to busy to redo it and get the code. I went to auto zone right afterwards and they said that nothing was coming up on their diagnostic test. Spark Plugs ?

 

Low VTEC fluid, replace and refill it immediately.

vtec fluid ? it just has a regular stock honda engine.

 

Muffler bearing bro... serious. All the symptoms make sense.

 

Not to sound lame, but what exactly needs to be done to it ? the spark plugs or muffler bearing ? I don't know alot about cars as this is my first.

Check plugs, wires, and dizzy....also a code would really help
