Got up today and went over to Pungo with the Beachcombers Corvette Club to help setup to course and get it "tuned". Some of those guys are some serious SCCA racers adn know their stuff. We got the course all layed out and ran it for fun. Man Kumhos Ecsta MXs get sticky! I samcked down a few cones and did some donuts. It was lots of fun. The real even is tomorrow, tech starts at 8 AM. I'll be there...

Oh yeah, anyone have a MINI COOPER S that I can borrow so I can win this thing. Havinf 400+ horses doesn't help much for this =)

you trust kumho's on your vette? cheap tires+expensive sports car=bad situation?

 

don't listen to everything you hear... kumho mx's are nice, and not cheap.

 

not competing but if it's not cold as hell outside then i might come out for a bit

 

Kumho Ecsta MX's are in a different league than the other tires they make. They're amazing and just as good as my Goodyear Supercars that come on the car stock. They're much much better in the wet. I also looked at the Goodyear GSD3's but they didn't come in big enough sizes.

So you ran the course for fun....... thats not fair!! And we only get 4 tries to do a good run, and here you are running the course the day before.... nawwwww!!!!! whatever, Im probably wont be racing anyways.

 

I know it's not fair that I already know the course, but I'm not competing for prizes... I mean I am, but I don't care. I didn't run in any of the other ones and so I don't think I count. Plus there will be plenty of cars faster than me.

 

Well of course there not cheap, no tire that size is "cheap." I just assumed(know what that means) that since most kuhmos arent very good tires these weren't any different.
