1988 Mazda RX-7 Turbo II
Name: Ryan
Location: Midlothian, VA
Means of contact: PM or this thread
Price: $4000
Trades: Mainly s13 but kind of open to other trades. Just let me know whats out there.
Description:
It's an '88 RX-7 Turbo II. I bought the car not running and put the engine in it. The engine only has about 30k miles where as the rest of the car has 146k. The car runs great with plenty of power but has a strange shimmy at low rpm in 4th and 5th but after 2000 rpm it goes away. The car is hard to crank when the car is cold due to the previous owner removing the cold start system. Both of these problems are going to be looked at by Mitchum Enterprises to at least figure out what is causing the problems. Other than that the car runs great. The engine is from an '89-'91 model RX-7. I have just replaced the clutch with a SPEC Stage 1 clutch which is still in the break-in period along with that I had the flywheel resurfaced. I also just replaced the engine mounts with Mazdatrix competition mounts. The car also has a 3 inch custom turbo back, intake, and manual boost controller to keep it at the stock 7lbs. The front bumper and tail lights are from an '89-'91 also. I have a spare transmission that also only has about 30k miles on it that will go with the car which was originally with the engine that is in it now. I love the car I am just ready to move on to another platform. This makes my fifth RX-7 haha.
