I bought a new speed sensor for my civic because it would jump up and down so I replaced it but it didnt solve the problem so I took it out checked everything else put it back in and i forgot to plug the sensor back in so as im driving it was still jumping which lead me to that one of the wires is bad. so my questions is if there is a way to be able to run a extra wire from the back of the speedometer to the speed sensor and which wire will have to be replaced.????

 

where did you get the speed sensor from? you proly got another bad one, in my experience a jumping speedo has allways been a bad speed sensor.

 

I got it from advance auto parts. but the sensor wasnt even hooked up when i put it back in. And it was still jumping

 

did you try to hook it up anyways?

 

I did but it was doing the same thing.
