Wrangler / TJ questions
ok i have the opportunity to pick up a decent little TJ.... 101k miles... 3 inch suspension lift... 31s... just some little stuff....
but my question is between me and my GF we will have 2 german shepherds and a lab... and we OFTEN take trips down to OBX / etc... and i am wondering if i take the backseat out will i have room to fit all 3 in the back area?
i fully intend on picking up a "rangler net" to ensure the safety of them when riding with the top down... but i want some advice from you guys....
A)dog question
B) how much would you pay for this thing
C) if it has a 3 inch suspension can i do a 2 inch BB lift (for a total of 5 inches) and fit 33's?
thanks in advance guys

Re: Wrangler / TJ questions
plenty of room. We need way more info to get a value.... mostly just what year and what motor? You can check my wrangler FS thread to compare. You can fit 33's stock. I wouldn't do a body lift, just slap some 33's with the suspension lift already on it.

97 and motor has 103k
a BB lift = budget boost (coil spacers) i dont believe in body lifts (not a fan of a lot of the frame showing)
PS- do you still have yours?

Re: Wrangler / TJ questions
First question for you; 4.0L or the I4? If it's the 4cylinder I assure you that your going to get pissed off every now and then on the highway hills, especially with 33's. The 4.0L w/ 4.10 gears and a 6speed does alright, that's what I have, but I'm too used to my good ole Ford motor
With that said, you can run 33's on 3in of lift, however you won't be able to stuff a 33x12.50 without some rubbing here and there on the plastics. If it has 2.5" - 3" lift springs I'd purchase Rough Country's 3/4" spring spacer instead of the body lift, to be able to flex and stuff them. 5" might put you a little too far over the 33's, heck you could probably stuff 35's.
I've got some pictures of my TJ with 3.25" suspension and 33x12.50's if you'd like to see them.
Edit -- just read 'coil spacers' ... crap, well my post just became irrelevant :P

Re: Wrangler / TJ questions
haha yeah, I looked up and realized you meant coil spacers not body lift.. Craaap.
3" coil lift w/ 33x12.50
3" coil only, best flex I could find..
I've since then put in some 3/4" spacers.. works PERFECT, tires get to about 1/2" away from the plastic in the front with no sway bars.
