Default sohc vtec help

i just bought a 94 ex and the vtec dosnt work and neither does the odometer. are these related? any help would be appresiated
also some of the wiring behind the fuse box is cut. could this be the cause? thanks for the help

sounds like you got a lemon. what engine do you have in your car? the easiest way is to look on the transmission housing, to the left of the header. If you have something goofy in there, somebody probably did a half ass swap or something.
