i own a 94 honda civic hatch. it has air bags in it n i rlly want em deleted so i can change the dash and steering wheel. do i need to do anything besides unplug n pop em out? will my car run after i take em out just by unpluging them or do i need to do something to the computer? hellppp???

I've read that you need to remove the fuses for the SRS before unplugging them. Also, once removed, your SRS light will stay on, unless you remove the bulb-which makes your car dink on state inspections...

^this. Any good inspector will notice that when they turn the key on your car to 'ON' and the SRS light doesn't come on, there's a problem... Then they give you that uber-dope pink rejection sticker for you to rock out for 10 days...

Some cars you can take them out and unplug the air bag sensor and the light won't come on. But if the inspector knows it was a car that came equipped with air bags you will fail. Just leave them alone.

I have had my airbags deleted in my car for 2 inspections now. But I agree with just leaving them alone, unless you don't mind jumping the system and resetting the SRS light when you get it inspected. Only reason I get away with it when getting inspected is because I know where to take it. I have a Personal steering wheel and an OEM pass airbag delete tray.
