Question Precision Powder Coating Opinions

Has anybody here used Precision Powder Coating services before? I'm going to need to get my scooter parts coated but I would like others opinions about their quality, price, service, and turn around time.

Thanks FM

Years ago they ruined a set of centers from my CCW Classics. They used too aggressive a media to strip the old stuff off and put way too much texture in the metal. When coated it looked like they had coated over 60 grit sandpaper. All they'd do was give me my money back. Ended up having to buy new centers from CCW.

and now they say it will be a week plus to do wheels so that the blast media can be worn a bit before they tackle delicate things

Ive done 8+ wheel sets among other things for my pops business and whatnot. Not a single complaint. other than not having EXACT colors i want lol. but thats not their fault.

So they only use one type or grit of blasting media? That's a little strange. Most big shops change out media or have multiple setups in use with various types of media.

Just had a set of wheels done. Dropped them off on a Wed, he said Friday they would be done. Lou called me Friday morning out of courtesy saying he got tied up on a big project and they wouldnt be done till Monday.

No biggie. I roll out there that following Monday, inspected my wheels, ONE wheel had a spot where the powder didnt hold, I pointed it out (not pissed off just concernd) Lou not only offered to fix it for free (no brainer) but also knocked off $100 for all the the troubles.

They came out pretty nice.

Id use them again.
