Default 1988 STD EF Hatch

Name: J
Location: Northern Virginia
Means of contact: PM or jstforefn@gmail.com
Price: $1500/OBO I want to trade for a running truck.

Description: STD EF Hatch. Bought it from a kid that said the original D15B1 had gone bad and he started to disassemble the engine for repair. I got the car sort of in pieces. I took the D15B1 and 4 speed transmission out and dropped in a D15B2 with only 85,000 miles and a CRX Si 5 speed transmission. I also have no name coil-overs from a CRX but need aftermarket LCAs or CRX LCAs to install the rears as the bottom mounts differently. Fronts are installed which you can tell by the rear jacked up in the pics. I will replace the rear LCAs if I keep the car.

The car is currently sitting on stock wheels with the mini center caps(all 4) with great tread. The car will also come with 1st generation CRX sand dollar wheels that need new tires, if interested.

I also have clean CRX Si front seats that will go with the car. The seats currently in the car are not direct fit but the P.O. rigged them in there. They are pretty shitty with the driver's seat having a rip in the ass and the outside bolster is torn. To install the Si seats will require rails or some sort of fabrication. I will do it if I keep the car. Carpet is junk. I'm guessing the P.O. was in construction or worked in dirt and NEVER vacuumed the carpet. I tried and realized it's just not worth it. If I keep the car, I will just rip it out.

Body is in great shape with the only rust area being the rear wheel well on the passenger side. See pic below. I have small hands for reference. The paint is 23 years old and looks it. There is no oxidation or peeling, but the paint is faded. I will repaint it if I keep the car.

The car is running roughly currently due to no VSS in the transmission. I couldn't get the one out of the 4 speed and this transmission was going to be used in a race car where there is no need for one. The car gets to about 3 grans and stumbles on itself. The ECU is throwing code 17(only code) which is the error code for the VSS. This is an easy fix and if I have the time and can find one will replace it. Otherwise, I'll leave it to the new owner. I will obviously fix this issue if I keep the car.

I'm not desperate and I definitely don't need to sell or get rid of this car so I'm not going to entertain lowball offers at this time. I understand this car is not perfect nor pristine. If you think $1500 is too high a price for this car, don't offer to buy it. I'm not really interested in selling it, but I will for $1500. I'd prefer to trade for something. If you have a negative thought, go tell it to your mama. I don't care. If you have a question, please PM or email me and I'll get back to you promptly.

The car is in Annandale but I live and work in Sterling/Reston areas. I also have 3 small kids and work 2 jobs so my time is limited. Hence the reason the car is not finished and on the road. If you want to see it, weekends work best for me.

And a walkaround video just because I can:

Yes. You understand they don't have seat rails, right?
