Last night i got pulled over in chesapeake for my muffler, and he also got me for my tint being too dark, so i need to take it off. is there anything special i need to do before scraping? or can i just start scraping it w/o messing up the window? please let me know

fuck all that yank that shit off then use acciaton to get the sticky shit off.

 

depends on how good or bad the tint was applied, and how old it is.

 

Spray the window with soapy water, use a razor blade to get one of the corners up then pull the tint off. After that the adhesive will be left. Buy some Carb. Cleaner from an auto parts store. Spray the carb cleaner on the adhesive and it will wipe right off. No need for steel wool. The adhesive will actually become very soft. I used a credit card to wipe it off.

 

razor blade and windex, same thing happened to me, tint was about 2 yrs old, got it off no problem just be careful, crack the windows a little when you start. also walmart carries some tint glue remover spray

yeh be careful with the back window, the defroster strips are very sensitive, i scraped my tint on another car last year and must have scratched one of the strips and lost about 4 or 5 of em .... wasnt cool

 

dang..how am i going to not scrape the defrosters off then?

 

if you do hit some of those strips for the defroster you can get something to "patch" it up with.
