there are thousands of people out there using the old style zex kits with no problems. cfhoodeclipse and others supposedly 'got a bad kit' and blew their motors with it. the thing is... nitrous kits dont just decide to spoil because you didnt put them back in the refrigerator. if you dont keep an eye on your a/f ratio... youll detonate. if you detonate.. bye bye motor. cfhoodeclipse...

what were you using to watch your a/f levels?
were you using an AFTERMARKET window switch?
did you switch to a colder level of spark plugs?
how much timing were you running?
did you use any octane booster?

ive used like 4 different nitrous setups and pieced together custom kits before. a kit doesnt just go bad. there is user error, a problem with the solenoids, an incorrect jet, or in Zex's kit, a problem with the 'brain' or whatever yall call it. this is exactly why i will never be caught using a zex kit. get a NOS kit or NX kit. theyre a little trickier to install but Zex is for babies who cant make decisions for themselves.

hope this helps
