Mostly when heavy braking I downshift, otherwise my clutch is just about dead as it is, so no, not recently...

Oh yes, especially with a lack of tread like I am feeling right now.
I downshift just about everytime, but never to where my RPMs will spike above 3k, no need for that much valvetrain wear and tear.

haha yea, coming off 264 at newtown rd, i put it in 2nd doing about 60 and got sideways, and this was going straight down the hill, a little to the right. pushed the clutch back in and straightened up after a few "speed wobbles", or whatever they're called. it was fun, after the fact.

Are you double clutching when you downshift? I wouldn't think it would do that if you were because it's such a smooth transition. awd doesn't have these fun little quirks tho, so I'm just guessing.

No double clutching when I downshift, only upshifting.. just trying to decrease turbo lag as much as possible.
