it would be easier to get an engine that is the same year as your car, but it can be done. the 96 has a hydrolic tranny and your car is cable. also your car is pre-obd and the 96 is obd 2.

hmmmm or drop the b16a1...that would be better OBDII to OBDI isn't that hard but it is a headache. Hydro to cable coversion another not hard thing but still a headache. Best bet?? buy the B17 or a B16a1 both are OBDI and cable tranny..if you have any other question don't hesitate to call us at the shop..AUTOSOLUTION 757-306-8686
