Went to Road Atlanta for the weekend to race with NASA Southeast in their annual Santa's Toy Run. Since nobody was racing PTA, the class my car is prepped for, I stepped up to race ST2 (Super Touring 2) so I had a shot at winning some contingency tires. ST2 allows the same power to weight ratio as PTA but with open modding on the car vs. limited modding on mine.

Saturday's Thunder race was the most fun I've had on track in my entire life. Michael Smith (black/orange C5 Z06, ex T1 car) and I are duking it out for 3rd place here. Stinks it had to end with a crash for Michael... that was tough to watch unfold; shook me up quite a bit.

After the red flag we had 2 green laps... Kevin Clifford (black FD RX-7) and I fighting for the 3rd place tire. He catches me sleeping through T1 letting an out of class car get by me and rockets around the outside. I caught back up by turn 10A, but had no way to attempt any kind of pass; finished 4th. All the other mustangs and camaros etc. are in a different class and not racing against me directly.

I ended up finishing 2nd in the race on Sunday so that scored me a tire, but the video isn't nearly as exciting as Saturday's race.

I have never been to RA. You can see Smith's car arc progressively wider with each lap. I kinda figured he would spin on the straight before long. Question: Why were you hanging in his mirror so much versus drafting? I think you could have worked less and passed him.

Trying to get in his head and make him screw up. Was on paper thin pads so I didn't have the brakes to make a pass into T1 stick. He did screw up eventually. Didn't want it to end like that. He said he was about to let me by.

Yes... tire rubber marks just rub right off. Everyone in the paddock was jealous of how slick she was. They kept making fun of me, but a few guys asked me what Rejex was when nobody else was around
