Price: $7800 OBO
Description: Up for sale or trade today is my 03 jetta GLI, i bought the car used from a dealer in DC about a year ago. Shortly after buying it the motor went due to a blown head gasket and cracked head. I towed the car to Pat Goss' shop in Lanham MD to see if it was even repairable at this point. I found a company out of vancouver selling 24v VR6 crate motors (same as stock) for $1500, so i put in my order for one and had it shipped out. Currently the body of my car has around 156k on it while the new crate motor only has about 18k or so (exact milage can be provided at time of contact). I have all the paperwork and receipts for the motor swap and from the company in which i purchased it from.
The car has all black leather interior with heavy duty rubber floor mats. It has a six speed transmission which works perfect. The clutch was also replaced at the same time as motor due to it slipping from the previous owner, so the clutch is also almost new condition. I would hate to see my car go but i have fallen in love with a 20th anniv. GTI at a dealer, so I'm currently in the process of purchasing that vehicle. The car runs great, i drive it about 15 up to the college i attend and to work which is just a few minutes away. Always full synthetic oil changes at 3k miles. I painted the rub strips on the sides of the car flat black a month ago, never got around to painting the front and rear like i wanted to but it does still look good.
Pros:
-Black headlight housings with 3.5k HIDs, also slot for fogs underneath.
-Short Ram Air intake
-Raceland Coilovers (fully adjustable)- car sits at a good height as of now
-Car is wired up for subwoofers and amplifier
Cons (not many):
- Needs control arm bushings to be replaced. (good time to upgrade to polyurethane bushings)
- Small dent on passenger side front from a deer (paint has rubbed off a little right above headlight (not terrible by any means)
-Small other dents (one on roof, which was there when i purchased car which is barely even noticeable; and very small ones on back of drivers side rear door)
THIS CAR HAS A VERY GOOD AMOUNT OF TOURQUE FOR BEING STOCK, car rides well for sitting as it does currently and is overall an amazing car. Like i said i would hate to see her go but as i said, i am looking for a 1.8t now.
