Can I use a cast...

for an exhaust leak that is on my flex pipe? I don't want to really have to buy a new one b/c of the fact that it is welded on to my cat and i'd have to get it cut off and re-welded back on...

Get a straight pipe; you don't need a cat anyways. That way, problem solved plus performance upgrade.

from what I've heard iit will fail inspection if your exaust has any kind of cast on it. I would just take it off, hollow out the cat while you're down there, and get it fixed at an exaust shop. shouldnt be very expensive

i hate the sound of a car w/ no cat, or a hollowed out cat. get a high flow cat, sounds better, gives pretty much the same amount of power, and is LEGAL.
