bar and plate is stronger. it will resist rocks and stuff much better. but in terms of performance, you wont really notice the diffrence till you start pushing serious boost. the tube and fin is known to inflate under extreme pressure

Its generally known that bar and plate style intercoolers cool better then tube and fin. they are also more durrable. For what WE typically use on the street tube and fin is usually what we are looking for. there are so many set up that you can't just say get a tube and fin. or get a bar and plate. Most ppl have two choices when picking an core and thats spearco and greddy. Not everyone wants to study a novel on ambient air flow for 5 hp on a 50trim
