Helms manual says idle is 36 psi and WOT is 44 psi stock for a 95 ls...Gauge says 32 psi and 40 WOT, And i have a the skunk 2 chip, So why am i not getting the right amount of fuel. So i put the B&M fuel pressure regulator on and i cant figure out what is the best psi to set it at? Anyone have any input on this?

 

Maybe your guage is inaccurate. Both of your numbers are off 4 PSI, so I'd look at the guage first. The right setting for your regulator depends on whats mods you have done. If you increase your fuel pressure and don't need it, the ECU will adjust the injector duty cycle to trim the fuel back a bit. Those engine computers are smart. The ECU program has nothing to do with your fuel pressure, the fuel pump is either on or off as far as the ECU knows..

 

H/I/E and chip.. So i put it at 40 psi idle and its about 48 psi WOT. I went and got the Ngk Iridium ix spark plugs cause i thought i wasnt getting enough spark and i was smelling fuel even when i put it on stock fuel pressure. It seemed to work. Im just going to have to play with it til i figure out what is the best setting.. Air/fuel guage reads that its a little rich at WOT, But i guess thats what i want. I ran a blue older body style hatch back with a jdm b16 in it tonight, and pulled on him pretty good..He thought i had a gsr, He was pretty surprised when i told him it was ls. So i guess its running pretty good.
