Im swapping a 4age silvertop into my celica st. This is my first engine swap and I fear that i might get in over my head trying to figure out the wiring. anyone local done a 4age swap?

Do you have the wiring harness and ECU for the 20V? Or just the motor?

Have the harness and ecu. its screwing my brain to look at the wiring diagrams

What tranny do you plan on using? Was the 20V out of an auto or stick? Reason I ask this, is for your speedo to work. Also if it was from an auto you may have a bunch of wires you will not need.

The big thing with Toyota is the wiring, head and ECU need to match. They're not as mis-matchable (lego blocks) as the Honda's. You can get into some custom wiring and make it work, it just won't be right.

The silvertop tranny and the car are both manuals. my celica transmission has the 5th gear pop out issue so i was hoping to use the silvertop tranny with its better ratios
