UPDATED: Man with gun in Roanoke's Washington Park surrenders to police

Right now we're following a developing story out of Northwest Roanoke.

Police tell us a man has a gun in Washington Park.

That's off Orange Avenue.

We're told he's refusing to put down the gun and surrender to officers.

The roads around the park are closed to traffic.

We'll give you more information as soon as we get it.
