Default Elongated lug nut holes, repairable?

I bought an s13 friday and while the PO was driving it home, the wheel came loose and unevenly bored out/elongated the lug nut holes.

From my understanding (please correct me if im wrong, probably am), 240's use the lug nuts to center the wheel around the bore, so the holes need to be perfectly round. Wheels are Grenade gx-01's, which are discontinued.

I got quoted at a shop for $400 to repair the wheel, i might as wheel look for a new one or buy another set.

Could i bore out the holes until they are round and even, and get some wobble nuts along with a hub centric spacer? Or would that be dangerous?

Am i just better off looking for another wheel/buy another set?

The lug studs provide clamp force but not wheel centering, the hub takes car of the wheel centering (or at least it's supposed to). Are those wheels knockoffs of stock GTR wheels?

But if the lug holes aren't round, how does the hub center the wheel?

Yeah, they are stock GTR knockoffs

The center of the hub protrudes into a recess in the wheel, which centers it. I'm not familiar with that platform, but will defer to Fabrik8.

Once the male/female connection is made between the wheel and the hub, it is centered. The lugs just keep the thing from moving laterally (towards/away from the hub).

Edit:

The VERY FIRST result on a google search brings up this.
