Re: b18c5 running hot
the header gets hot? The exhaust gas even at cold start, is immediately hot as shit from the fuel combustion.
The header in reference is prob a material that conducts and dissipates heat fairly quickly.
Answer: DON'T TOUCH THE FUCKING HEADER, YES IT GETS HOT.
Is the water temp too high or are you seriously just touching the fuckin header over and over?

Re: b18c5 running hot
Why would the thermostat have any effect on anything that soon after engine start? The thermostat only affects coolant temperature, not exhaust gas temperature. Did you mean the coolant temp sensor instead?

LOLOL A header is going to get hot almost instantly. Just because the header is hotdoesn't meant it's over heating. Then a brand new header is going to smoke at first, it's the paint burning. Take a temp gun and point it at the radiator hoses. Then come back and let us know if it's really over heating.
