Default Haley Toyota

Don't think many on here have a toyota...
Well you know how I was stressing where to bring my piece of shit car..well I decided to pay the ectra $130 that Toyota charged so I can get it done right..or something like that.. My dad works for toyota and all that so basicly I knw their work is supposed to be guarenteed and all of this crap..

I dropp my car off yesterday MORNING..like 8:30 right.. They call me at 2:34... They finally looked at it.. they don't hear the noise (wow it's pretty fucking loud if your not romping on the damn gas) and he looked at it and his BEST GUESS is that it is the wheel bearing.. I said yes thats what I said it was...Well they don't have the part in stock...well jackass don't you think if I make an apointment with you to fix the wheel bearing you'd have the damn part there?? So he tells me he'll have the mechanic start taking it apart if he has time tonight and the part will be here first thing in the morning...

Well.. it's 3:00 the next day.. still no phone call from them.. I get a call as i'm heading down there.. it's the parts guy..lets me know he had the part..got it THIS MORNING...

I get there.. ask how my car is doing.. "oh uhh you need to talk to pete" uhm ok.. so I wait for this idiot.. he comes out.. Oh well we havn't gotten the part in.. so I look at the part guy like "really" and the parts guy goes oh well we did I just got the rap sheet on it and called her.. the other dude was like oh well we'll start on it then.. I asked uhh wait you havn't even taken it apart yet? He says no we can't just have it sitting there apart.. I was like then why did you tell me he would start on it last night? He was like uhh he was going to but didn't have time.. Well jackass then the car would be sitting there apart now wouldn't it??
So he tells me it will be ready at 5:30...

JUST got a phone call... "mrs. Rowe?" ... yes... "Uhh I have some bad news" yea ok what "Well.. we tried to replace the bearing but the hub is so worn out it wont sit in there" well yes.. You said it had a lot of play in it... I've been driving the damn thing.. now i'm not certified like these monkeys but I know if it has a LOT of play in it.. you probably need the hub too.. for $125 they are charging me in parts...all i'm getting is ONE wheel bearing... WTF???? So this fucking hub is another $300.. bringing my total price to $790 if I do this.. and they will have to keep my car AGAIN...

OMG.. I'm stressing the FUCK out...GOD DAMNIT I WANT TO BE A MECHANIC!!!!!!!
I don't trust a DAMN person

ha.. i'd never get all my money back out of it..
Plus toyota will now have it untill friday afternoon..

god...
Bought the mustang.. someone swirves in front of me and I hit them..never runs the same again... owe $12,500 on it.. spent $5k in extras on it.. will NEVER get that back.. have to take a loss in selling it

bought the supra .. $16,450.. was suppose to be perfect paint.. went to pick it up from the shipping company.. has a big ass scratch all the way down the passinger side.. the "new wheels" were obvously on the car when it hit whatever it hit because the rear has a weight on it because it's bent..Car starts acting up so I did a full tune up.. $150 for wires ($50 off normal price) and $350 for total tune up.. muffler was shot..downpipe was cracked..holes all in the exhaust..spent a total of $320 on getting that fixed.. now getting exhaust tickets...

But I guess thats the trick of the trade.. it's all a loss.. and maybe one day i'll have GOOD luck.. but now.. i'm that person with the storm could over it's head..always getting struck

I told you to just ask my dad and his 40+ years of experience and he would help you and TEACH YOU how to do it. 790$ Hmmmm that's my exhaust set up right there well minus the long tubes.

I read up on it...it would NOT have been fun...plus I would have had to find a shop to press the bearring out..then do it again to get it back it..would have been a paiiinnn... plus it's the parts that are killer.. ONE bearing was $125..hub is about $300

Believe I saw the mustang at an auto paint/bodywork place today on 460...looked like it as I passed by.

Sorry to hear about the bearing, that is a total rip! $790

for them getting the bearing in overnight is pretty good.....we usually have a two day avail on most dealer parts that have to be ordered....be glad they could get it that fast.

as for 300 for hub..sounds about right. usually has a tone ring machined onto the hub for the ABS sensor to read the wheel speed.....bringing bearing/hub parts cost to 450.

add 21 for tax on them....parts come to 471. that leaves 320ish for labor. assuming they charge 60/hr..which is CHEAP for labor at most shops...i would say it is more then that....that is 5.3 hours to change the bearing/hub.

being that ALLDATA calls for 5.5...sounds like you got off normal for that car.

hate to tell ya....but so is the cost of owning a higher end car.
