i got pulled over tonight for various things........but before he let me go with my warning (thank god) he proceeded to tell me that my exhaust was too loud and wouldnt pass inspection. Anyone know anything about that? Call me a ricer, call me what u will, i dont care.

 

i had a cop give me a hard time about my for sale sign being in front of my VIN # on my windshield, i was parked "WTF", so iwas like ok and moved it up 2" so i was not blocking the VIN# whoa!

 

Jus get a new exhaust if youre worried about it.

 

Depends on the inspection sticker.... technically they can fail you for having non-stock parts. Most won't though.

 

i just got pulled for the second time lastnight. good thing i got off agian. he was really nice about it. he was like Its ok as long as you have the silencer in.

 

i JUST got this exhaust put on a few days ago, i'm not goin back to stock....NEVER!

 

yeah, it just so happened that i didnt have the silencer in at the time....but the thing is, that he was INSIDE his car when i passed, and when he got out of his car to walk to mine, my car was off.

 

I've lived here my whole life, never had stock exhaust on any of my cars, and never got hassled at inspection time. Go to a gas station for inspection, if you go to a dealer they may hassle you so they can charge to put a new muffler on while you are there.

 

My friend's dad is inspector of the inspectors and he told me exhaust don't matter and mine is Apexi N1 and they are loud. Exhaust is not part of the inspection rule books. Any exhaust on any car that is not factory is illegal, including truck, but they don't get pulled for that.

 

noise pollution laws... my exhaust is straight through on both my cars. both n1 style, no silencer, the corolla is loud, the honda is almost on the point of obnoxious (everytime i start it sounds like the IDRA is visiting my neighborhood.)... ive been warned many times, and have learned to simply go easy on the gas when near a cop... but regardless, if they are in a mood to give a ticket, they will find a reason, either for illegal equipment or noise pollution..
