Wanting to run NITROUS through my chevy 350
I have an 85 camaro with 75 Chevy 350 engine. Currently has Comp Cams 270h K-Kit, full MSD, Headers, dual plane intake, holley 600(will probably step up to a 750), copper cores, 882 heads. All stock bottom end. Maybe at 8.5:1 maybe a bit higher. Factory 700r4. 4.11's by Motive.
I will more than likely be installing Aluminum heads soon but before I spend the money on say a high compression set I was hoping I could get information regarding adding nitrous to the build.
Looking to add possibly a 75-100 shot. Just dont want to blow anything. Dont know how my cam would react to it or if a bump in compression from the aluminum heads mixed in with the bottle could be increasing the danger.
Ideally, I would like to have my Naturally aspirated build (addition of heads and bigger carb) put me somewhere around 400 hp. And then add the bottle on top of that to really get me moving.
If you have any experience with Nitrous on these engines or parts please respond. Also if there are things that absolutely must be done(head studs, motor mounts) before reaching up to that 450-500 hp mark please let me know. Thanks in advance

Generally speaking, you're going to have 500 HP worth of cylinder pressure, so build accordingly. If you pull the heads and are planning on running nitrous, use a set of aftermarket head studs. Its cheap insurance.

Thanks, do you know whether the bump in compression from a 76cc head to maybe a 64cc head will increase any risks? Ive messed with a few turbo's but never N20. Also; right now my timing is pretty advanced, im assuming its going to have to be wound back with the addition of nitrous?

another thing is going to be carburetion. depending on the heads, a 750cfm carb might be fine for airflow but its going to have to be jetted back some i would imagine.
