i have a autometer phantom a/f gauge and sumtimes it works and sumtimes it doesnt i have no idea why it is messing up, its hooked up correctly , and ive checked the connections 20 times , i dont know wat to do next. help. anyone!
at WOT it will work. It will wiggle and go all over the place until your at wide open throttle. its due to the ECU going from Closed loop to Open loop.
Mine was jumping everywhere no matter what and not seeming to work that great so I replaced the o2 sensor. Works great now! You might need to do the same..
that gauge is less than 25% accurate, is pretty much just for show. whens the last time you saw one of those working properly. i have one i my car and all it does is jump back and forth. the thing is a piecs of shit.

Reason: wrong number
If you want it to read without bouncing all over the place, get another bung welded into your exhaust and get a single wire O2 for a 1990 Trans Am and hook the gauge to that O2 only. It will read as good as it can and will only bounce around when cold and then be stable.
