PCV Valve/black canister
i am doing my head gasket and was wondering if i NEED that tube that goes from the black canister on the back of the block to the intake manifold? or can i just block the holes off and leave it disconnected?
btw its on a b16a

yes,you do need it,that controls crankcase pressure,if its not relieved through the pcv valve it will relieve itself some other way, like blowing past your rings or blowing out gaskets, or throwing dipsticks out of the hole, if you dont want to run the pcv valve, run a catchan with a breather filter on it to vent the pressure,on higher compression motors such as most stock vtec motors there pretty important,i for one dont want to be blowing out gaskets or getting blowby all because of a little valve that i should have used,or a different way to vent pressure, so my answer= use it......
