Odd Noise / Misfire below 2,000rpm
The car is a 2000 Ford Contour with a 2.5 liter V6 that I picked up this past winter to take to work.
It makes this noise that sounds like a "wobble" but I'm pretty sure it's a misfire.
There's no check engine light, and it will do it in neutral, reverse, or forward.
It generally happens when lifting off the throttle will start shaking and misfiring. This only happens under 2000 rpm and everything goes back to normal with a blip of throttle
For example if on highway and I lift, rpms go below 2000 and misfire. Quick blip and rpms will drop to idle like normal.
Seems worse at low speeds in a parking lot or just after the car has started up. No other issues with sluggish acceleration or poor fuel economy.

Sounds like my roommates car when a coilpack goes to shit. I'd check to make sure all the plugs are firing (coilpacks or dizzy, can't recall what those use), look at the plugs to see whats running rich / lean / normal and take it from there.
