my friend has a 95 tercel and bought a swap its the 5e motor its suppose to be a jdm motor the motor that is in the car has a no distributor and uses coil packs the motor he has uses a distributor what does he have to do to make this work anyone who can help out and he has already had several people look at this

 

go to u-wrench it and get a wiring harness from a newer tercel or paseo and the ecu also. use those.

 

i actually miss understood him i was in a hurry his motor has two coil packs and the motor he wants to install has 4 coil packs sorry bought the mix up

 

He needs to keep the set up that matches the ECU he is using or plans on using, he can actually use either of the coil packs if he wires it right but that's a little complicated. The waisted spark set up he has now should work with the new motor with no probs.
