CCVT Spring 2004 Car Show this weekend!!
Hey guys just thought I invite everyone out and give you some information this weekend on the CCVT's Spring 2004 Car Show. CCVT members will be doing stuff literally all weekend long but the car show is open to the public this Sunday April 18th in the B lot at the corner of Prices Fork and Stanger. Okay here is the list of categories for the car show.
Best of Show
Best Four Door
Best Two Door
Best Paint Job
Best Stock Car (3 mods or less, stereo mods are exempt and no a sticker is not a mod)
Best Presentation
Best Truck / SUV
The car show itself is from 12pm to 4pm. Generally the goal is for everyone to be gone and cleaned up by 4pm. I ask that you please show up around 11:30 to 12:00 so you can register early. It helps us out a lot instead of everyone at once. Under the blue club shelter there will be a registration table. You will tell whoever is working your full name, even if you think they know you. Believe it or not, I don't know all of you by name all the time, nor will the person working the desk. If you are alumni, please tell them as you register. You will fill in your info on our registration sheet on the table and pick up your registration card you will display on your dash and your ballot. All ballots must be turned in no later then 3pm. If you have not paid your dues, do not expect to get a ballot or show for free. Non-ccvt members as usual pay $2 if they wish to show and vote. A person may not just pay $2 to just vote and not show a car, aka running up votes for a friend in the show. If a non member wishes to just show and not be eligible for a trophy or vote, they are encouraged to display their car for free. New members are encouraged to join at the car show and the $2 fee is of course waived when they pay their dues. The trophies are extremely nice and we do put a lot of effort into the event. So please be willing to help keep the lot clean after the show and set up and take down the shelter, table, etc. This will ensure future car shows every semester.
