Vertical Door Mod.
Does anyone have this done? Did you get a shop to make it custom or did you buy a kit? Can your doors still open regularly and vertical? What kind of car is this on? Could I take a look at it (your time/spot)? I need to get some ideas on what I am trying to design for my friend to fab. Let me know...

Last time I was there, they showed me a 02 Civic Si with a vertical door kit that had to be altered to work properly. I sure they could order whatever make/model kit you need. it's just a question of being a "true bolt on" or needing a little nudging like with so many other mass produced car parts.

There was a Celica at a meet last Saturday that had lambo doors. it's a purple one w/lods of body work done on it. she's part of strictly celica. the car's not too bad looking....

They actually have these kits for mustangs and Lightnings too, dunno why someone would want to put it on one of them though.

they make door kits for the more "popular" applications.
they also suck complete ass, because remember, you're trying to operate a door in a field of movement it wasn't designed to go. getting in and out of the car will be a complete bitch, since they don't open completely vertical the way the "real" cars do.
