Ouch. Someone tried to scam me. LOL
I was selling my sisters car on autotrader for 1800. And this guy emails me. And I email him back with the present car condition and he emails me back.
"hello
thanks for the mail i really appereciate effort so have told my client about and one said he is intrested in the car ss we are sending the ck of 4000$ and you will send the balance to our shippers who are in state now through western union so if you are okay with this you are to send the name and the address which will appear on the ck.
thanks
robert"
Basically he would send me 4k check that would end up bouce. And I would have to send 2200 back to his so call "Shippers". Which means i would of lost 2200.
Pretty pointless post but this kind of car money scam has been going around lately. I just wanted to point it out so no one gets caught up.

Kevin ("Si"ngle cam) almost got screwed by the same guys. They sent him a check, and get this...it was so authentic that when he took it to a bank, they said they would have cashed it! Kinda reminds me of the movie Catch Me If You Can.
By the way...I work for Trader Publishing and I didn't know you could sell your sisters through us!?!?! LOL

im currently selling my teg on autotrader and i get those e-mails almost everyday, they are always from a different screen name and most of the time they are from yahoo.com
was it the guy who claimed to be from africa? if so, there's an FBI case on those guys, and you should report anything you get out of them to the police
