Default The months of a slipping clutch will soon be at an end!

Already have a ACT S/S clutch kit, I just picked up a pre-resurfaced flywheel for the cost of getting mine resurfaced! Next up is getting all new hydraulics for the clutch (~60-70), a brace to hold the flywheel still while torquing down the 57mm flywheel nut to ~350-370ft/lbs (~30), a pilot bearing seal (~3-5), and maybe a new impact wrench (~150-200).

I haven't been able to even boost much, maybe 1-2 psi after 2nd gear!

Fuck yea!!!

From a tad bit back. I'm now on '91 Coupe wheels due to a curb jumping out in front of me.

I am about to do the same in June. Getting either a King Cobra clutch kit or a Mcleod and have my flywheel resurfaced and getting a UPR quadrant adjuster.

Don't bother with the King Cobra, have heard quite a bit of negative on those with Cobra drivetrains. I've spun through Spec clutches quite quickly. Mcleod is a solid choice. Don't forget to replace the throw-out bearing and pick up a spare. They're cheap.

I have the Steeda quadrant, firewall adjuster, and adjustable cable. The cable has been the best in actually adjusting anything. Firewall one is conveniently located, but difficult to adjust. The cable is very simple to adjust (drive up on my trailer, reach it easily). The clutch quadrant manufacturer should match the one for your cable for piece of mind. Definitely worth the loot for sturdy construction but you'll lose the current ease of adjusting by lifting the pedal itself for a readjustment and instead have to rely on the firewall or cable adjuster.

I have also heard alot of negativity about Spec. As for the TOB i got that covered. Hence I am getting a kit. and gonna grab a spare or two. I have heard some of the batches on the KC clutches is what was bad, which is causing me to lean more towards mcleod.
