Has anyone seen the Shelor Cavalier drag car? This this is a beast. They have ran it once at Elk Creek and shattered all the records. Crazy. The thing is, when they ran it, it stayed in 3rd gear from start to finish, and they only used one stage of nitrous, it has three. It was running 4.30s or 3.40s, I know thats like a second difference, but I get things backwards sometimes. I'll ask rach today. I wanna see them go up against the Lingenfelter cavaliers. Shelor is gonna be at Elk Creek Saturday night if you want to see them run.

Definetely not running 3.4's. Thats about a full second quicker then the fastest dragsters out there.

 

I really hope he's talking about Matt's Corvette instead.....it DID beat all the records last year and was running 4's.....but who knows, I separated my self from that hoorah...way too much schmoozing and shit that I got tired of.

 

It's faster than the vette. The vette has a 705 CI engine with one stage of nitrous. The cavalier has got a 745 Split Carburation with 3 stages of nitrous. Last night at Elk Creek it ran a 4.24 and will be setting more records there. Around 3 weeks from now we are hoping to run 3.90's in it. The only problem is we beat the record only running in 3rd and 4th gear. Once we solve the transmission problem we will be set and also when staging in the left lane we cannot see the tree because the hood scoop is soo big. - Richard Bowen, Shelor Drag Team.
