LS/VTEC w/ B17 head questions
I'm going LS/VTEC with a 2nd Gen Integra B17 head.
what ECU can I use?
What internals would u recommend?
I have an 95 LS block that is stock so:
what pistons and rods would u recommend for the better performance.
thanks!

you can use a b17 ecu(but b17's were pre obd so im not sure if it will work if your using an obd1 + vehicle harness), or pretty much any vtec ecu that will plug up to your harness(like a p28) depending on what car its going into(but i would get a tuning program like hondata to ensure a good tune),high compression pistons and rods capable of revving to 7500 and up to take full advantage of the vtec function, aftermarket ls rods, or stock ls rods with arp rod bolts(aftermarket ls rods would be the smarter choice), the brand is all up to you, i am using stock ctr pistons(11:4:1 comp) with the b16 head ill be using it should yield around a 12:1 compression ratio...if you plan on boosting this ls/vtec, use some lower compression pistons.....

Re: LS/VTEC w/ B17 head questions
If your car is OBD1, use an OBD1 ECU like a P28. You won't have a knock sensor, but that doesn't matter because your LS block doesn't have one anyway. Get the P28 chipped with a program for a DOHC engine like a B16 and you're good to go. It may not be as simple as all that with a pre-OBD head, but if it's fairly easy, go OBD1 if you have an OBD1 car.
