Default supercharging a type r motor

i was wondering if anyone has supercharged their type r motor... i saw a dyno chart on jacksonracing.com and the hp output wasnt all that impressive.... but i think it was on a low boost setting... or should i go with a supercharged h22?

A JR supercharger isn't the greatest match for a ITR because of the low RPM character of the JR. if you're thinking about supercharging, Vortech mught be a better choice because it's higher RPM based which would match the characteristics of an ITR a little better. JR S/Cs tend to run out of ass at high RPM, and are really just passing air through instead of pressurizing it. It really depends on how well the supercharger is matched to the engine, etc... A JR S/C will give you a good boost in low RPM torque, but won't do much up high..

jackson supercharger is whack..it eats belts..but i guess it would be good on a itr motor sinces its higher compression..but i seen jacksons blow quiet a few motors including mine...if your going from boost to supercharge your gonna hate it..if you gonna do a vortech might as well turbo..because vortech is basically turbo on a stick

my boy had gsr with jsrc in hatch, he had a crv pulley which up the boost to 11psi..the car was quick, the only problems it had was it ate a lot of belts and it was pointless to race off the line since its instant boost..all you do is spin..but the motor eventally went..he blew his rings...but with boost kickin in right when you floor it or give it more than half throttle is going to put a lot of strain on your motor.
