See... THIS is fun stuff. I guess I'm getting excited because the next Formula 1 race will be at the Nurburgring (where this video was filmed.)

Just some background info on the track, it's got 83 turns and is extremily long (forgot just how long.. hmm.) It's totally public (toll road) sometimes, and you can bring any road legal car you want to when they are doing the public track days.

BMW also has a service called the Ring Taxi, you pay to be taken around for a lap in the current ring taxi car (an E39 M5 in this case, but that car is no longer in production so it's probably an E46 M3 now.) It's obviously a scheme to show people the handling abilities of their cars (every BMW is tested and tuned on the Nurburgring.)
The person driving the m5 is a FEMALE and she logs over 800 laps around that track every year.
In addition to weighing over 4k pounds, the M5 has 3 passengers in it.
Again, the car filming is a new Porsche 911 GT3.

I'd be scared as shit I'd hit one of the guys on the bikes, but otherwise, that's shit's fucking wicked. I could watch that for hours.

 

So I just found out that the driver (the chick.. Sabine) first drove around the ring when she was 16 (in her moms car.. without her knowing.) She set the lap record when she was 19 in a cosworth, and has won 2 24hrs of LeMans races. She actually runs over 1100 laps around that track a year.

Oh yeah.. she's hot too!
